Mobilisation 6600 lance la première étape de l'opération populaire d'aménagement - l'OPA du parc-nature Résister et fleurir !!

Tu connais bien le Terrain vague à l'est du quartier Hochelaga-Maisonneuve? Tu viens souvent te promener sur le bord de la track? Tu traverse les boisés, tu rencontres des voisin.e.s, tu observe la vie?

On t'invite!

Tu sais pas trop ce qui es prévu par là et parfois, ça te préoccupe? Ou tu sais exactement c'est quoi les enjeux et ça t'inquiète?

On t'écoute!

Tu aime le Boisé Vimont, le boisé Steinberg, la prairie fleurie, les étangs vernaux, la friche à défendre, le terrain vague? On veut connaitre tes usages et tes manières d'habiter les lieux.

On t'attend au lancement de l'OPA.

Il est important de se questionner sur les aménagements nécessaires, souhaitables, rêvés, acceptables.

La faune, la flore, les humains, comment cohabiter?

** Les enfants du quartier sont aussi invités à participer, avec l'OPA des enfants qui aura lieu en même temps aux jardins vagues, à quelques pas du chapiteau. **

(251 Ave Pins) for the Montreal launch of the latest issue of the

Science for the People magazine on Palestine.

Registration is not required, but it will help us with planning.

In this issue we focus on the oppression and liberation of the

Palestinian people through the lens of revolutionary science and

technology. STEM workers in the imperial core play a central role in the

escalation of the genocide; but technical innovation under siege

conditions plays a similarly important and often overlooked role in the

vitality of the Palestinian resistance.

Our launch will take the format of a roundtable talk featuring Action

contre les armes, legal researcher and peace activist Derek Rasmussen,

with moderation by members of the SftP Montreal chapter, discussing the

“It takes a village to kill a child" report about the F35 program in

Canada and Israel, as well as two articles from the magazine: "Tough on

Institutions, not Individuals: Resisting Militarism in Engineering

Schools" and "Smashing Walls, Building Firewalls, and Breaking the

Digital Siege".

Join us for the next meeting of the Violet Hour Book Club, a reading group devoted to classic and contemporary works of LGBTQ literature. The book we will be discussing is Daughters of the Deer (2022) by Danielle Daniel, a special selection to mark National Indigenous History Month in Canada.

Toustes sont invités·es au Violet Hour Book Club, et chacun.e est bienvenu.e à partager ses pensées sur le livre en anglais ou en français.

We will be meeting at our new venue, the Espace des Possibles Petite-Patrie (6450 Avenue Christophe Colomb, Beaubien Metro).

L’Espace des Possibles a comme mission d’offrir un lieu d’entraide, d’apprentissages et d’implication dédié à la transition sociale et écologique (la transition socio-écologique). The space is wheelchair accessible.

The space is given to us for free, but VHBC participants are welcome to make voluntary contributions to help support our mandate to create LGBTQ literary events for Montrealers.
