❄️ Au soi-disant Québec, les températures peuvent descendre jusqu'à -30°C, voire plus bas avec le facteur vent. Les personnes privées de logements sont exposées plus que d’autres aux risques d’engelures et d'hypothermie.



🏠 Les refuges pour personnes sans-abri sont souvent débordés pendant l'hiver, avec des heures de fermeture ou des politiques qui forcent certain·es à quitter tôt le matin, parfois sous des températures glaciales. D’autres peuvent avoir des critères stricts ou être incomplets pour répondre à tous les besoins.



☕ Le 13 décembre prochain, viens te solidariser avec tes voisin·es hochelagais·es. Viens donner ou recevoir des biens utiles à la survie. Viens nous rencontrer pour discuter de la situation qui est intenable autour d’un bon chocolat chaud.



Tous les dons seront redistribués aux personnes qui vivent en campement.

❄️ In so-called Quebec, temperatures can drop to -30°C, or even lower with the wind chill factor. People who are homeless are more vulnerable than others to frostbite and hypothermia.



🏠 Homeless shelters are often overwhelmed during the winter, with closing hours or policies that force some people to leave early in the morning, sometimes in freezing temperatures. Others may have strict criteria or be unable to meet all needs.



☕ On December 13, come show your solidarity with your Hochelaga neighbors. Come give or receive items that are useful for survival. Come meet us to discuss the untenable situation over a nice hot chocolate.



All donations will be redistributed to people living in encampments.

There are two low-rise ramps with guardrails inside and outside of the space, and a 39.5” wide non-automated front door.



We offer a wheelchair-accessible gender-neutral bathroom with a baby-changing station and safer sex + safer drug use supplies available for free.



We have a scent-reduction policy in place, and ask that people refrain from using scented products when entering our space or attending events.

Vous avez reçu un avis de reprise de logement de la part de votre propriétaire ? Vous anticipez que vos nouveaux propriétaires puissent utiliser cette tactique pour vous faire quitter? Vous cherchez à comprendre ce qu’est une reprise dite de mauvaise foi et désirez connaître des indices pour la reprérer? Bref, si vous désirez connaître vos droits et recours en lien avec la reprise de logement, une des seules exceptions au droit au maintient dans les lieux des locataires, venez en grand nombre à notre atelier du 15 décembre!

Join us for Liberated Futures, a zine-making workshop focused on providing a space for speculative dreaming and collective imagination for those in the trans, non-binary, and two-spirited community. Through a writing exercise of speculative storytelling, participants will explore alternative futures rooted in care, autonomy, and justice. This project responds to a deep community need for creative spaces that prioritize joy, imagination, and political expression, especially for those historically excluded from dominant narratives.

The resulting one-page folded zines will be printed using our in-house risographs at Cyber Love Garden and will be given to participants and to Dick’s Lending Library’s collection.

Facilitator Bio:

Noka’s (they/them/elle) practice is an ever expansive amalgamation of what is vivid, fun and immersive. They’re drawn to projects where they get to play with paper and ink, have an affinity to geometric compositions, the exploration of surreal dichotomies, socio-political discourse and the world of indie horror.

Cyber Love Garden is a community tech studio based in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montreal with a mission to create space for marginalized individuals and grassroots organizations to explore, learn, and create using technology for social change. Operated by and for critical tech workers, designers, cultural workers, and artists from marginalized communities, Cyber Love Garden engages in resource sharing, peer learning, and collective healing through workshops, events, and co-working.



This workshop was made possible with the support of the English Language Arts Network’s Trellis Micro-grant project. The Trellis Micro-grant project, funded by The Department of Canadian Heritage’s Official Languages Support Programs, seeks to highlight English-language Arts and Artists to make them visible to a broader community, and build bridges between Québec’s English-speaking minority and Francophone majority.
