Après la réussite du kiosque au parc Morgan en décembre dernier, le collectif Entrave (annonce publique à venir) a décidé de le reproduire tout l'hiver, le troisième samedi du mois jusqu'en avril.



Les Hochelagais.es, logé.es ou non, sont venu.es en nombre pour donner ou pour recevoir du matériel nécessaire pour survivre l'hiver.



Venez samedi prochain, de 13h à 17h, discuter de notre monde commun, manger un repas et boire un chocolat chauds préparés par @les.greniers.agricoles.qc .

Following the success of the kiosk at Morgan Park last December, the Entrave collective (public announcement to follow) has decided to repeat the initiative throughout the winter, on the third Saturday of each month until April.



Hochelaga residents, both homeless and housed, came out in large numbers to give or receive the supplies they need to survive the winter.



Come next Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., to discuss our shared world, enjoy a meal and hot chocolate prepared by @les.greniers.agricoles.qc .

Everyone is welcome at our demonstrations, especially people with precarious immigration status. We are aware of the fear and real risks faced by undocumented migrants and we try to organize our demonstrations in a way that is as safe as possible for everyone. If you are afraid to attend because of your status, please contact us and we can discuss.

Join us in front of the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) offices in Montreal to denounce the rise of xenophobia in Quebec and its long list of anti-immigrant policies: the closure of Roxham Road to refugees in transit to the United States, the interminable delays for CSQs (required for regularization in Quebec) for undocumented immigrants, the suspension of family sponsorship programs, cuts to social programs for refugee families, the end of pilot projects for working class temporary foreign workers, the end of the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), and the hardening anti-immigrant rhetoric. These policies plunge migrants into even more desperate situations of exploitation and precarity in Quebec’s fields, factories, and hospitals. We reject these violent attacks and unite to demand permanent status for all. We fight for our freedom to exist, to move, and to stay, in all dignity and equality.

Solidarity Across Borders has been fighting for migrant justice for over 20 years in Tiohtiake/Montreal, and the PEQ saga is nothing new for those newly arrived in so-called Quebec. From those who don’t share “Quebec values” to the guardian angels of the pandemic, the CAQ has seized every opportunity to deify or demonize immigrants for electoral gain. Most recently, the noise made by the CAQ leadership candidates and Minister Roberge over the PEQ grandfather clause demonstrates just how performative and unpopular their populist tactics are. Their ridiculous management of immigration has real and devastating consequences for many people, regardless of the migration paths open to them. Unfortunately, a grandfather clause will not stop the invisibilization or criminalization of people with precarious and temporary status by governments. We must understand the issue of precarious migration holistically. It is imperative that we unite in solidarity with all undocumented and precarious migrants to demand an inclusive regularization program and permanent residency for all. Everyone deserves dignity, not because of our skills, but because we are human beings first and foremost.

We call on all people with legal status to oppose the anti-migrant measures and rhetoric of their governments. We call on our allies to reject the “good” and “bad” migrant narratives that reinforce global apartheid and the brutal border system.

Together in solidarity, strong and proud, let us unite to demand a continuous and inclusive program of full regularization for all undocumented and precarious status migrants, as well as an end to the Safe Third Country Agreement.

Description:

RadMedic is a network of street and protest medics that hosts bi-weekly first aid workshops and trainings relevant to protest and street environments. Trainings have a learning component and a practice component (usually in the form of scenario simulations!), with a break about halfway through where people can grab a snack! La traduction envers le français est disponsible si ça facilite ta participation!

This workshop will focus on technique and guidelines for providing CPR on adults and children, with and without the use of an AED. We’ll cover how to decide it’s time to give CPR, environmental factors that can complicate CPR, and some other related first aid tricks. Please arrive a few minutes before the start time as the training will start right at 5:30pm. See you there!

Locataires d'Hochelaga, rejoignez-nous tous les dimanches pour discuter de l'augmentation de votre loyer et de la lutte collective contre les loyers dans notre quartier. N'acceptez rien, même si ça semble petit, avant d'en parler avec votre section locale du syndicat des locataires ! Et même là, refusez votre augmentation ! On doit résister à chaque augmentation de loyer et profiter de ces moments pour renforcer notre solidarité, notre autodéfense, notre résistance et notre organisation.

Chaque dimanche, nous nous réunirons en cercle de locataires. Nous écouterons les problèmes de chacun et proposerons collectivement des suggestions pour aller de l'avant. Nous nous concentrerons sur la manière dont le groupe peut aider à faire pression sur votre propriétaire pour qu'il réduise votre augmentation de loyer, que ce soit par des piquetages, des visites collectives à son bureau ou à son domicile, des affiches ou des lettres. Nous discuterons également des campagnes spécifiques déjà en cours contre les propriétaires du quartier. À 14 h, nous partirons distribuer des tracts et pour faire du porte-à-porte afin d'entrer en contact avec les locataires de certains des plus grands propriétaires d'Hochelaga que nous ciblons.

Résistons à la gentrification et au contrôle capitaliste de notre quartier ! Exproprions nos immeubles, libérons nos rues, et luttons pour une commune d'Hochelaga !
