Join us for the launch of the exhibition of Activism in Print (2000-2025), an archive created by Stefan Christoff at the Concordia Librairies. 
Wednesday, February 18, 2026 (5 – 7 p.m.)
SHIFT Centre - Concordia UniversityThis exhibition showcases print material created in the context of different community organizing campaigns and grassroots collective struggles in Montréal. The works on public display include zines, posters and photographs.
Curated by community organizer, artist and Concordia graduate student in the History Department, Stefan Christoff, all the selected materials are a part of a recently acquired special collection, the Stefan Christoff Collection (CO47), housed in Concordia’s Special Collections and Archives.
History department professor and educator Désirée Rochat will share her experiences in doing long term detailed archival work within Black community organizations and arts spaces. Artist Christeen Francis, a member of the Justseeds artists’ cooperative will be present to share about her work at the frontlines of alternative print culture and social movements.Christeen is currently teaching Print Media classes at Concordia.
Sound artist Joseph Sannicandro will join the event to share perspectives on the sound installation element that is a part of the exhibition, playing in the stairwell at the downtown library throughout the exhibition on social justice activism.This event will include live silk-screen printing of a screen supporting the housing justice movement, coming out of the housingjustice.now gathering last spring.
The exhibition is running Monday, January 19, 2026 – Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the Webster Library.
This launch event is supported by SEIZE and the exhibition project overall is co-presented by the Social Justice Centre at Concordia University, CKUT 90.3 FM and Raah Media Research Lab.

Des CPE à l’université, nos milieux sont profondément affectés par le désinvestissement et les coupures budgétaires. Le comité éducation du CCMM–CSN veut dresser le portrait de l’impact des mesures d’austérité en éducation. Pour ce faire, nous vous invitons à participer à une rencontre d’échange et de partage sous forme de 5 à 7.
L’objectif : poursuivre la mobilisation pour que le gouvernement finance adéquatement nos réseaux d’éducation.
Venez échanger avec vos collègues et vos camarades afin d’identifier les situations problématiques et les moyens de renverser la vapeur.
Les prochains mois seront déterminants. À nous de saisir l’occasion pour construire notre force collective et mettre de l’avant nos revendications.
La première consommation vous sera offerte par le comité éducation du CCMM–CSN
